High school swimming: State College sweeps Altoona

— With wins in every event on both sides, State College earned a 136-34 girls’ victory and 136-33 boys’ win over Altoona on Tuesday.

Bradley Gibble was a double-winner for the boys, taking the 100-yard butterfly and 100 backstroke, while Juliet Garrigan won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly for the girls.

Other winners for the Lady Little Lions included Harly Stuyvesant (200 free), Grace Tothero (200 IM), Courtney Quinn (100 free), Kelsey Bittel (500 free), Emma Wright (100 back) and Sarah Koberna (100 breaststroke).

Boys’ winners also included Ian Schrock (200 free), Christian Friberg (200 IM), Fredrick Zheng (50 free), Filip Turecky (100 free), Joseph Liechty (500 free) and Jordan Hillsley (100 breast).
