State College man accused of stealing copper

A State College man is behind bars after being arrested for burglary, according to Spring Township police.

Jacob Snook, 25, was charged with burglarizing G.M. McCrossin near Bellefonte on Dec. 30, 2013, and stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of commercial copper items, such as pipes, fittings and wires, according to police.

Many of the items were recovered at a recycling business but are no longer usable due to being cut up, police said.

Charges against a second suspect are pending, police said.

Snook was arraigned before District Judge KelleyGillette-Walker and placed in the Centre County Correctional Facility on $30,000 bail.
