High school girls’ basketball: Bald Eagle Area uses strong fourth quarter to beat Clearfield

— Bald Eagle Area outscored Clearfield by 19 in the fourth quarter to earn a 59-46 win on Friday night.

Megan Peters and Maddie Cingle hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the fourth to help the Eagles (5-15) begin to pull away. Cingle scored nine of her 12 points in the final period, and Peters finished with 10. Clearfield took a 39-33 lead into the fourth before Bald Eagle Area exploded for 26 points.

Hayley Giedroc scored a game-high 15 points and had seven assists for BEA. Ellie Chambers had 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Logan Fischer scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
