Penn State men’s volleyball: Nittany Lions sweep Rutgers-Newark, claim 10th straight win

— Penn State’s win streak reached 10 straight after a 25-16, 25-17, 25-13 victory over Rutgers-Newark at Rec Hall’s South Gym.

The No. 12 Nittany Lions (10-2, 3-0 EIVA) went to the bench early and often, with Nick Goodell’s seven kills, just one error and .545 hitting leading an offense that hit .393 as a team. Peter Russell and Spencer Sauter each added five kills as 11 different Lions had at least one kill. Matt Callaway had four of Penn State’s 10 blocks, Aaron Russell delivered four aces, Zach Parik and Taylor Hammond had 17 and 14 assists, respectively, and Connor Curry posted seven digs in a match that took just 1:02.

Penn State hosts Sacred Heart and Harvard next weekend.
