High school girls’ basketball: Centre County Christian Academy forces playoff with win over DuBois Christian

— Centre County Christian Academy forced a game to determine the final spot in the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association playoffs with a 36-29 victory over DuBois Christian on Saturday.

The triumph tied the Lady Bulldogs (6-13) with DuBois Christian for third place in the league standings. The two teams will meet against at Blair County Christian on Monday for the final playoff spot.

Rachel Campbell was the big difference on Saturday, racking up 16 points and grabbing 24 rebounds.

“They were double-teaming her the whole game,” CCCA coach Martie Maholic said of Campbell. “She had to work extremely hard inside.”

Abby Maholic added 10 for the Lady Bulldogs. Mary Kate Lowery had 12 for DuBois Christian.
