From CDT staff reportsFebruary 22, 2014

An 18-year-old man was arrested on several charges after an argument with a 38-year-old woman on Monday.

Police said Dillyn Lee Shirey was charged with harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police said Shirey was involved in a verbal argument with a woman while driving on U.S. Route 322 in Rush Township.

The incident reportedly escalated when Shirey punched the woman in the side of the face. The woman was then able to put the vehicle into park, take the keys out of the car and exit the vehicle with the keys.

Shirey then also exited the vehicle and reportedly dumped a large cup of tea all over the inside of the car, began to yell and scream, and punch and kick the car.

The woman was then able to enter the vehicle and drive away, leaving Shirey outside.

Police found that Shirey did not have a valid driver’s license. He was additionally charged with a traffic violation.
