Police: 3,000 bags of heroin discovered during I-80 traffic stop

Two Johnstown residents were arrested early Saturday after police said they found 3,000 bags of heroin in their car during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Marion Township.

Hasus L. Hardy, 26, and Tanysha M. Johnson, 22, were stopped about 2:25 a.m. near Exit 161 of I-80 for vehicle code violations, police said.

State police at Rockview said they searched the vehicle and found about 60 bricks of heroin in a shopping bag in the trunk area. A small amount of marijuana was also discovered inside the car, police said.

Hardy and Johnson were arrested and placed in Centre County Prison.
