UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State men's volleyball team is alone atop the EIVA standings and moved its win streak to an even dozen with a sweep of Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Rec Hall.
The No. 12 Nittany Lions (12-2, 5-0) handed the Crimson (5-4, 4-1) their first conference loss with the 25-19, 25-15, 25-22 decision.
Nick Goodell led the offense with 11 kills on .393 hitting, to go with 10 digs and three blocks. The Lions also got eight kills and 10 digs from Aaron Russell, seven kills from Matt Seifert, 31 assists from Taylor Hammond, three blocks from Matt Callaway and 14 digs from Connor Curry.
D.J. White’s nine kills led Harvard, which hit .065 and matched Penn State in blocks 6-6. Penn State hit just .221.
The contest closed the Nittany Lions’ 11-match homestand. They visit Princeton on Friday.
