Letter to the editor | Subtle proselytizing

February 25, 2014

I was upset when I read “Relaxation leads to learning for students” in Saturday’s CDT.

Parents should be greatly concerned about this because it is a subtle way of introducing and promoting Eastern religions in our schools.

How can the State College school system mandate that our children perform yoga exercises in the classroom, yet prohibit them from praying or mentioning anything deemed as promoting Christianity?

If you are going to tolerate and promote one religion, you need to tolerate all of them. This activity needs to stop.
