Sue Paterno hospitalized after fall, family spokesman says

Sue Paterno has endorsed Penn State trustee candidates Rudy Glocker and Al Lord, she said in a news release Thursday, the first day alumni can vote in the election.

The widow of longtime Penn State football coach Joe Paterno suffered injuries in a fall Thursday, the family’s spokesman confirmed.

Sue Paterno, 74, was on her way to give a eulogy, spokesman Dan McGinn said.

“She fell and has been hospitalized for observation,” he said. “As you might expect, her attitude and resolve are great.”

McGinn declined to comment further.
