From CDT staff reportsMarch 9, 2014

Former Bellefonte High School standout Mitchell Port ran his season record to 26-0 as he captured the 141-pound weight class at the EWL Championship on Saturday.

In a rematch of last year’s finals, Port crushed Bloomsburg’s Dan Neff 12-2. Port took down Neff twice in the first period to race to a 4-1 lead. He pushed the margin to 9-1 after two with a takedown and three nearfall points. He added another takedown in the third as he won his second straight EWL crown.

Edinboro racked up 140.5 team points. Bloomsburg was second with 113 and Lock Haven was third with 87.5.

Former Tyrone standout A.J. Schopp also won for Edinboro. In the finals, he scored a technical fall over Bloomsburg’s Nick Wilcox, winning 18-0 in five minutes.
