The Chesapeake Bay Foundation will host its Clean Water, Healthy Lands workshop and awards ceremony Friday in Centre Hall.
The event, which was postponed in February due to snow, is now 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centre Hall Lions Club, 153 E. Church St. Awards will be presented at noon.
The workshop will focus on streamside forests, their value and how to care for them, according to the foundation.
The Centre/Clinton County Farm Service Agency and Natural Resource Conservation Service staffs will be awarded the Golden Tree for their contributions to clean water and their success in helping farmers. Together, they have established 347 acres of streamside forested buffers, according to the foundation.
