High school girls’ lacrosse: State College rolls over Trinity

— The State College girls’ lacrosse team poured on the offense in its season opener Monday evening at Memorial Field, rolling away from Trinity 19-2.

Building a 12-0 lead by halftime, the offense was paced by Renee Olivett’s five goals and two assists, Caitlin McGlaughlin’s four goals and one assist and Carrie Mahon’s three goals and six assists. Kendall Loviscky added three goals and an assist, with two goals from Caroline Friberg, a goal and an assist from Annie Hughes and a goal from Brooke Shaffer.

Casey Restivo and Megan Klaus combined for two saves and the win in goal for the Lady Little Lions.

Julia Dailey and Michaela Pavone accounted for the Shamrocks’ scoring.
