Penn State football: Nittany Lions add receiver recruit Brandon Polk to 2015 class

Penn State picked up its ninth verbal commitment in the 2015 recruiting class on Tuesday.

Briar Woods (Va.) receiver Brandon Polk committed to Penn State during an unofficial visit according to multiple recruiting outlets. A junior for Briar Woods, Polk is the second receiver to join the 2015 class sixth in the last two combined. The 5-foot-9, 152-pound Polk is listed as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and 24/7 Sports and is considered a four-star composite by 24/7 Sports and a four-star receiver by Scout.com.

He’ll join former high school teammate quarterback Trace McSorley who committed to Penn State as part of the 2014 class. McSorley is expected to enroll at Penn State in June.

Polk’s commitment is non-binding until he signs a National Letter of Intent. He also had offers from Maryland, Old Dominion and Boston College among others.
