High school boys’ volleyball: Central Dauphin sweeps State College

— State College dropped its first dual match of the season, losing 25-22, 31-29, 25-19 to Central Dauphin on Tuesday.

Andrew Groves pounded down nine kills while Deniz DeMirci and Aaron Cymbor each added eight kills, while Parker Thompson had 26 assists and four blocks. Cameron Crow picked up 16 digs and DeMirci added eight kills.

“We’re working with a very fluid lineup right now,” coach Kim-Li Kimel said. “We’re working through some things. We see some potential, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.”
