Recap: Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh

Fort Myers, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Mauer's two-run error in the eighth inning helped lift Pittsburgh over Minnesota, 2-1, in Grapefruit League action.

Mauer was unable to come up with a Travis Snider grounder, allowing T. Polo and J. Mercer to cross the plate and put the Bucs ahead for good.

Tony Watson picked up the win by tossing a scoreless bottom of the seventh and Jeanmar Gomez worked the final two frames for the save.

Oswaldo Arcia put the Twins ahead on a seventh-inning solo homer. Caleb Thielbar suffered the loss, charged with both unearned runs while recording four outs.
