March 28, 2014

— State College’s Caleb Walls’ two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the Little Lions’ 6-4 win over Cedar Cliff on Thursday.

State College (1-0) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning and led 4-0 after three innings. But the Colts (1-1) scored three runs in the fifth and tied it in the top of the sixth.

State College’s Tyler LeBarron earned the win after throwing two innings in relief, and Ken Craig picked up the save.

Nick Raquet started for the Little Lions, allowing just one hit and striking out nine in four innings.

Jonathan Bergman doubled and drove in two runs for State College, and Calvin Sichler also had a double for the Little Lions.

Cedar Cliff’s Steve McKee went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
