High school softball: Bald Eagle Area holds off Central

— Bald Eagle Area scored in each of the first three innings, and pitcher Makennah Dyke held Central scoreless in the final six innings to lead the Eagles to a 4-1 win.

Dyke struck out three and scattered four hits to earn the win for Bald Eagle Area (1-0).

Logan Fischer went 3-for-3, scored a run and drove in two runs for the Eagles, while Mikayla Smith finished 3-for-3 and scored a run. The Eagles took a 2-1 lead after two innings and added two more runs in the third.
