High school boys’ lacrosse: State College doomed by rough start against Chambersburg

— State College trailed Chambersburg by six at halftime and never recovered in a 14-8 loss on Thursday.

The Little Lions fell behind 4-1 after the first quarter and allowed five more goals in the second. Heading into the fourth, the Trojans expanded their lead to 13-5.

Vince Lanbardozzi scored five goals and Garret Pierson added three for Chambersburg. For State College, Brady Franks finished with a team-high four goals to go with two assists. Jack Sheehan scored two goals, and PJ Bachman finished two assists.

Noah Schwab recorded a team-high seven saves for State College.
