High school baseball: Philipsburg-Osceola falls at Tyrone

March 29, 2014

— Philipsburg-Osceola scored in each of the final four innings, but couldn’t recover from an early six-run deficit in an 11-7 loss to Tyrone.

Travis Arnold went 2-for-4 and scored two runs, and Mitch Winters went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Mounties. Curtis Matsko also scored twice and drove in three runs.

But it wasn’t enough against Tyrone.

The Golden Eagles scored six runs in the third inning and never trailed in the win.
