High school track and field: Buey paces St. Joseph’s at Igloo Meet in Altoona

— St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy had a handful of high finishers at the Igloo Invitational at Mansion Park on Saturday.

The Wolves were paced by Kahsim Buey’s 23.98-second run in the 200-meter dash to finish third, along with a pair of fourth-place efforts from Brian Heckman in the 800 and 1,600. Also, the 3,200 relay team of Heckman, Eli Urban, Mikey Kresovich and Michael Peters ran to an eighth-place effort, and Urban was eighth in the 3,200.

The St. Joe’s girls were led by Cecilia Surovec and Grace Cousins, who were sixth in teh 300 hurdles and 1,600 meters, respectively.

No other results were reported Saturday.
