Each Monday, the Centre Daily Times will publish an installment in our “Share our Heritage” series, featuring photos from Centre County’s past. Today’s photo is from R. Thomas Berner.

The story attached to the photo says:

“Five Centre Daily Times staff members today were promoted and given new assignments.

“They are: John A. Brutzman, managing editor to associate editor; Bill Welch, news editor to managing editor; Joan A. Kurilla, reporter to news features editor; R. Thomas Berner, assistant news editor to news editor; and Elliott Potter, reporter to County editor.

“The realignment announced by Jerome Weinstein, editor, resulted from two recent retirements and the necessity to expand both news coverage and editing for a constantly increasing number of Centre County readers of The Times.”

Pictured in the photo, from the left, are: Berner, Welch, Brutzman, Kurilla and Potter.
