Softball: Bald Eagle Area stays hot, beats Clearfield

— The Bald Eagle Area softball teams keeps rolling.

The Lady Eagles (4-0) remained unbeaten with a 7-2 win over Clearfield (1-3) on Tuesday. Although Clearfield pulled ahead early 1-0 on a BEA error, the Lady Eagles recovered and ran off seven runs that weren’t answered until the seventh inning. Marissa Tobias pulled the Lady Eagles even with a solo home run in the third inning and Morgan Peters put them ahead for good with a grand slam down the third base line in the fifth.

Sydney Shultz picked up her first win in her first start of the season. The Lady Eagle pitcher allowed six hits in seven innings but struckout seven batters and walked two more.
