Girls track & field: Bellefonte gets seven individual wins, splits with Philipsburg-Osceola, Clearfield

— Bellefonte beat Philipsburg-Osceola but fell to Clearfield in a tri-meet on Tuesday.

The Lady Red Raiders got individual wins from Cassandra Book, Brooke Shirey, Rachel White, Kaitlin Rogers, Anya Hoaglund and Kaitlyn Devore to beat P-O 109-41. Bellefonte lost to Clearfield 80-70.

Hoaglund led Bellefonte with wins in the 1600-meter run and 3200-meter run with times of 6:05 and 13:27, respectively.

Book won the shot put with a distance of 30 feet, 3 1/2 inches while Shirey turned in a 30 feet, seven-inch triple jump win. White won the high jump with a height of four feet, six inches and Rogers notched a first place finish in the pole vault with a eight-foot, six-inch performance. Devore ran the 400-meter in 1:06 for a victory.

P-O’s Tiffany Bertothy led the Lady Mounties with a first place finish in the javelin (99-3 1/2). Celena Garcia won the 300-meter hurdles in 54.87 seconds while Julia Burns won the discus (93-1/2).
