Our View | Thumbs for Saturday

April 5, 2014

Thumbs up: To the green-lighting of the Potters Mills Gap road-improvement project, which will enter its first of many construction phases this spring. The long-awaited project is designed to improve safety and reduce congestion on U.S. Route 322 in Potters Mills.

Thumbs up: To technology. No longer must we risk getting a parking ticket while we run into the Borough Building to pay our parking tickets because ... there’s an app for that. IPhone users can now pay with their phones simply by scanning the bar code on the ticket.

Thumbs up: To those who rallied in front of Old Main on Thursday in support of graduate students whose health insurance plans may be changing. The proposed changes include a 30 percent increase in insurance premiums, higher deductibles and more out-of-pocket expenses.
