A Bellefonte man was hospitalized after he reportedly was assaulted by six or seven other men at the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity early Sunday morning, State College police said.

The 21-year-old arrived at the fraternity sometime after 2:30 a.m. and the hospital reported the incident at 6:54 a.m., police said. The man said he was first punched by an Asian man and then jumped by five or six others who he couldn’t identify.

He sustained bumps and bruises as a result of the incident, police said.
