Driver injured when car hits turkey on I-99

A Pittsburgh man sustained a minor injury from broken windshield glass after his vehicle struck a wild turkey Sunday on Interstate 99, near Skytop Mountain Road, state police at Rockview said.

Reid Meyer, 37, was injured from airborne glass shards after the windshield sustained major damage from making contact with the turkey. He then pulled onto the right berm, and his Audi A4 could not be driven from the scene, police said.

The incident occurred at 6:15 a.m., police said.
