Penn State softball: Nittany Lions finish off sweep of Michigan State

— Lexi Knief bashed three extra-base hits, including her first collegiate home run, as Penn State completed a three-game sweep of Michigan State with a 6-0 win on Sunday.

Knief also had a double and a triple to go along with her solo homer in the fourth inning. The sophomore center fielder also scored three times

Kasie Hatfield notched two hits, including an RBI in the first. Kristina Brackpool added a two-run single to highlight a three-run third.

Christy Von Pusch pitched two hitless innings before being relieved by Marlaina Laubauch, who shut down the Spartans (8-24 overall, 1-8 Big Ten), on three hits over the final five innings.

Penn State (10-22, 3-6) next travels to Indiana on Friday.
