State College crash sends woman to hospital

From CDT staff reportsApril 7, 2014

A crash last week sent a Bellefonte woman to the hospital.

State College police say Tyler Martz, 27, of Bellefonte, was traveling at a high rate of speed on East Beaver Avenue when he struck a parked cab owned by AA Taxi.

Martz refused treatment at the scene but his wife, Destiny, was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center and later flown to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Geisinger personnel were unable to give an update on her condition Monday.

Police reports show Martz admitting to drinking before the crash.
