High school boys’ track and field: Penns Valley upends Philipsburg-Osceola, Tyrone

— Penns Valley took a pair of victories in a tri-meet, topping Philipsburg-Osceola 91-59 and Tyrone 82-68 on Tuesday. Philipsburg-Osceola fell 82-68 to Tyrone.

Collin Maurer took the 110-meter hurdles (17.7), 300 hurdles (46.8), triple jump (40-1 1/2) and long jump (19-2 1/2) to lead the Mounties. Nick Patrick won the 1,600 meters (5:00) and pole vault (10-6) to lead the Mounties.

Collin Egelhoff won the discus (114-0) and shot put (38-11 1/2) to pace the Rams. Penns Valley also got wins from Jason Thoms (56.0 in the 400), Gino Nicosia (2:09 in the 800), Nick Fuller (11:06 in the 3,200) and Caleb Belinda (5-6 in the high jump).
