High school girls’ track and field: Penns Valley runs away from Philipsburg-Osceola, Tyrone

— Penns Valley swept a tri-meet on Tuesday, knocking off Philipsburg-Osceola 116-34 and Tyrone 59-57. The Lady Mounties fell to Tyrone 87-62.

Destiny Andrus was the lone double-winner for the Lady Rams, winning 100 (13.07) and 400 (1:08). Other winners for the Lady Rams were: Kayla Bracken (17.67 in the 100 hurdles), Naomi Olsen-Zelman (54.2 in the 300 hurdles), Alyssa Limbaugh (13:04 in the 3,200), Angelica Emel (6-6 in the pole vault), Chelsea Emel (36-9 in the shot put) and Nicole Bienert (91-10 in the discus).

Tiffany Bertothy won the javelin (104-5) for the Lady Mounties.
