— Guard Graham Woodward will leave the Penn State basketball program and seek a transfer to another school, the university announced Wednesday.

Woodward, a freshman from Edina, Minn., has been released from his scholarship, Penn State coach Patrick Chambers said in a news release.

Woodward played in 31 games during the 2013-14 season, including six starts. Woodward averaged 2.8 points per game and shot 39 percent from 3-point range.

“Graham has made the decision to continue his playing career elsewhere,” Chambers said. “He is a tough, hard-working player and a great young man; we wish him the best moving forward.”
