Police: Philipsburg man victim of criminal mischief

State police at Philipsburg said a 23-year-old Philipsburg man was the victim of criminal mischief and harassment.

According to police, the incident occurred at 2nd and Spruce streets in Philipsburg, when a known juvenile boy threw a stone at a car, damaging it. The same boy was also seen throwing a stone at a building on Presqueisle and Water streets.

The victim witnessed the incidents and confronted the boy, who put his hands around the victim’s neck, and punched him several times.

An investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 342-3370.
