High school baseball: Philipsburg-Osceola notches first win

— The Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties got their first win of the season in a wild, back-and-forth affair on Wednesday.

The Mounties (1-4) beat Huntingdon 13-12 in a game with five lead changes. The teams combined for 24 hits, eight of them for extra bases.

Mitch Winters knocked in two RBIs while Travis Arnold, Tanner Lamb, Aaron Mason and Tanner Wilson batted in runs for P-O. Lamb and Winters combined to pitch six innings. They gave up 11 runs on 11 hits and Winters struck out two batters. Logan Williamson pitched the seventh and although he gave up a run, was able to get out of the final fram with a strikeout and the win.
