High school softball: Philipsburg-Osceola cruises past Huntingdon

— Megan Bainey belted a long home run as Philipsburg-Osceola pounded out 17 hits in a 19-0 drubbing of Huntingdon on Wednesday.

Bainey was one of seven Lady Mounties with two hits and drove in a team-high four runs. Her homer came during a 17-run second inning. Hayley Frank, Haylee Hayward, Zenzie Burge, Maggie Peck, Chelsey Henry and Morgan Williamson also had two hits. Abby Showers and Peck drove in three runs.

Peck allowed two hits, walked one and struck out two.
