High school baseball: Bellefonte falls to DuBois

— DuBois jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

The Beavers plated a pair of runs in the second and third innings and held on to beat Bellefonte 5-1 on Thursday.

DuBois pitching held Bellefonte (1-3) to just five hits on the afternoon. Meanwhile, The Red Raiders got their lone run when designated hitter Taylor Butts turned in a sacrifice fly to plate Andrew Stover in the bottom of the sixth inning.
