From CDT staff reportsApril 11, 2014

Two Centre County men and one Ohio woman were arrested and charged with heroin possession Friday morning after a traffic stop on state Route 150 in Boggs Township.

State police at Rockview stopped a black Chevrolet Impala near the Interstate 80 interchange at 11:15 a.m. and observed heroin paraphernalia on the car’s floor, according to a police report.

A search of the car revealed several bags of heroin and multiple items of packaging material, as well as a stun gun, police said.

Police said the suspects had been staying at a nearby hotel and were able to obtain a search warrant for their room. In the hotel room, police said they found a 9 mm handgun, hundreds of used heroin bags, several used syringes for injecting heroin, two glass smoking devices and a marijuana pipe.

Charged were Jeremy Michael Waddell, 31, of Howard; James Vozniak, 37, of Milesburg; and Chrystal Barner, 28, of Zanesville, Ohio.

All three were charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of prohibited offensive weapons. An investigation is continuing, and charges are pending the origin of the handgun, police said.
