Vincennes University (Ind.) sophomore guard Devin Foster has orally committed to Penn State, a Vincennes spokesman said Sunday.

Foster averaged 12.2 points and a team-high 4.8 assists per game to help Vincennes, a junior college, to a 34-3 record and third-place finish at the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament this season. The 6-foot-1 guard from Dayton, Ohio, also shot 39.3 percent from beyond the arc and earned NJCAA second-team All-American honors.

Foster adds depth to the Penn State backcourt as it tries to replace Tim Frazier and Graham Woodward, who was released from his scholarship last week and is looking to transfer to another school.

Foster joins Shep Garner and Isaiah Washington in Penn State’s incoming class.
