Penn State softball: Nittany Lions fall to Indiana

— Indiana’s Kassi Farmer singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as Indiana defeated Penn State 8-7 on Sunday.

Four Penn State pitchers had trouble getting out Farmer, who had four hits, including a three-run homer, and drove five runs.

Kasie Hatfield had two hits, including a three-run double in the second inning. Lexi Knief and Shelby Miller added two hits for the Nittany Lions (12-23 overall, 5-7 Big Ten).

Penn State hosts Bucknell for a doubleheader at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
