High school softball: State College stays hot with win over Central Dauphin East

From CDT staff reportsApril 14, 2014

— Coach Mike Harper said his team is hot right now and he couldn’t be more right.

State College pounded out 13 hits and tallied 11 runs to defeat Central Dauphin East 11-0 in five innings on Monday.

Jess Henderson was stellar in the circle going all five innings giving up just two hits and striking out five.

“Jess has continued to pitch really well for us,” Harper said. “It was nice to give her some run support. If she continues to pitch well and we continue to hit, good things are going to happen.”

Alyssa Shedlock and Brenna Adams put it to the Panthers for State College. Shedlock went 2 for 3 with four RBIs in the game with a triple and a game-ending grand slam. Adams also went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.
