Child runs into traffic, hits car in State College

An unusual pedestrian accident occurred downtown on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident took place at the corner of Atherton Street and Beaver Avenue when a four-year-old boy ran into the road and struck a car.

According to State College police, the driver was not at fault. The vehicle was moving slowly when the collision occurred.

The boy was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for a facial laceration. The car was undamaged.
