High school boys’ tennis: State College edges Lower Dauphin

— State College was pushed to the brink but came out on top in a 3-2 win over Lower Dauphin on Thursday.

The Falcons won the first two singles matches, where Nathan Carl and Josh Carl beat Dan Shull and Matt Wherley, respectively. Sam Wherley got State College on track with a singles win over Beck Wilies in three sets.

The Little Lions (12-0) took control in doubles play. The team of Luke Plowden and Enrique del Castillo beat Rye Morris and Todd Ebenshad before Shreyas Radhakrishna and Matt Bristol won another doubles point for State College with a win in straight sets over Tom Graden and Reed Morris.
