Tyrone man accused of punching woman wearing mascot costume

A 47-year-old man is facing a summary harassment charge after he punched an 18-year-old woman in the head of her mascot costume Saturday morning, state police at Philipsburg said.

Ronald Hagg, of Tyrone, punched the woman in the parking lot of Lykens Market in Port Matilda, police said. She was dressed as a radio station mascot for an event. The incident occurred at 11:40 a.m., police said.

Hagg was arraigned by District Judge Allen Sinclair, police said.
