High school baseball: Altoona thumps Philipsburg-Osceola

— Altoona pounded out 16 hits, including three home runs, in a 22-8 win over Philipsburg-Osceola on Monday.

The Mountain Lions jumped out to a 5-2 lead after three innings and led 14-7 after six innings. Altoona then added eight runs in the seventh. John McGinley hit a grand slam in the third inning, and Dylan Conrad and Ben Foose each hit solo shots for Altoona.

Logan Williamson hit a solo homer for P-O. Travis Arnold went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Tanner Wilson went 2-for-4 with two runs.
