High school girls’ track: Bald Eagle Area sweeps tri-meet

— Sarah Van Cise and and Maddie Cingle each won two events as Bald Eagle Area cruised 102-46 over Philipsburg-Osceola and 94-52 over Central in a tri-meet on Tuesday. P-O defeated Central 74.4-70.5.

Van Cise took the 400 meters (1:05.4) and the shot put (30-1). Cingle swept the two distance events, taking the 1,600 (6:05.5) and 3,200 (13:40.7).

Other individual winners for the Lady Eagles were: Rexine Schrum (18.8 in the 100 hurdles), Mackenzie Basalla (58.8 in the 300 hurdles), Caylee Macaslin (29.5 in the 200), Haley Furrow (14-0 in the long jump) and Michelle Kachik (8-6 in the pole vault).

The Lady Mounties got individual victories from Tiffany Berthothy (103-7 in the javelin) and Srah Belinda (4-5 in the high jump).
