High school boys’ track: Philipsburg-Osceola beats Bald Eagle Area, Central in tri-meet

— Collin Mauer finished first in two events and second in two others to help Philipsburg-Osceola beat Bald Eagle Area 84-64 and Central 90-60 at a tri-meet on Tuesday.

Bald Eagle Area also lost 83-66 to Central. Mauer finished first in the 110-meter hurdles (17.5) and won the triple jump (40-4.5). He finished second in the long jump and 300 hurdles. Caleb Belinda won the high jump (5-6) for the Mounties.

Zach Moody won three events to lead Bald Eagle Area. Moody finished first in the 1,600 (4:57.9), 800 (2:08.9) and 3,200 (11:47.2). Eagles teammate Nathan Styles won the 400 (52.7) and 200 (24.3). Other individual winners for Bald Eagle Area: Evan Kilmer (10-0 in the pole vault); Tanner Cramer (45-7 in the shot put); Hunter Hall (120-8 in the discus); David Gawaryla (134-0 in the javelin).
