— Penn State’s Ariel Edwards signed as an undrafted free agent with the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock on Tuesday.

The Nittany Lion senior forward will join the team at its training camp this week.

“Ariel has had a great career at Penn State and I look forward to seeing her in camp,” Tulsa coach Fred Williams said. “Ariel had a terrific senior year at Penn State. She’s a powerful presence in the post and can help us in our interior area.”

The first-team All-Big Ten selection averaged 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this past season in helping the Lady Lions reach the NCAA Sweet 16.
