From CDT staff reportsApril 24, 2014

— The Penn State softball team lost both games of a doubleheader to Ohio State, falling 3-1 and 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions (14-28, 5-12) didn’t score until the seventh inning of the first game against the Buckeyes (22-23, 8-9), and their offensive struggles continued in a shutout in the second. Penn State’s Marlaina Laubach and Macy Jones each allowed three runs in six innings in the losses.

Pinch hitter Kristina Brackpool hit a solo home run to account for the Nittany Lions’ only run.
