High school baseball: Peterson’s pitching effort leads State College to win over Chambersburg

— Kyle Peterson pitched a two-hitter to lead State College to a 6-1 win over Chambersburg in baseball on Thursday.

Peterson allowed one run and two hits while striking out three in a complete game. The Little Lions (7-2) trailed the Trojans 1-0 after the first inning and tied the game in the third on an RBI single by Brandon Raquet. State College took the lead for good in the fifth on Calvin Sichler’s RBI single.

Caleb Walls and Alec Lose each drove in runs for the Little Lions. Chambersburg’s Carlin Christian went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.
