High school softball: Bald Eagle Area picks up comeback win over Clearfield

— Bald Eagle Area scored five runs in the fifth inning to erase a three-run deficit en route to a 10-5 win over Clearfield on Thursday.

Logan Fischer’s two-out, two-run double tied the game at 5-5, and the Lady Eagles (8-2) went ahead 7-5 after a Clearfield error. Mikayla Smith then drilled a three-run home run in the sixth inning to seal the win. Haley Giedroc went 2-for-4 and scored three runs, and Marissa Tobias went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for Bald Eagle Area.

Makennah Dyke was perfect through three innings and pitched a complete game to earn the win.
